A Camana Bay Christmas – getting creative in the Caribbean
It may be a long way from the North Pole, but Santa had no problem finding his way to the Caribbean this year. Thanks in part to Studio 25 Decor and our work at the world-famous Camana Bay Resort. Camana Bay is a lively waterfront town located on Grand Cayman, just south of Cuba. You might think it would be almost impossible to think of decorating for the holidays in 90 degree heat, but at Studio 25 Decor, it comes with the territory.
Now we’ll admit, it’s hard to call it “work” when you’re running around in shorts and sandals all day.(Who wouldn’t trade a blanket of snow for a warm sandy beach?) But we were there to do what we do best: bring holiday excitement to sun-seeking tourists and island locals. Here’s a peek at what we created this year…
Our featured attraction was this gigantic 40-foot tall Christmas tree, which we appointed with over 400 ornaments! Holy ho-ho-ho!
The tree takes on an even more spectacular look at night, illuminating the beach in all directions. You can bet we made a few lighthouses jealous!
A young visitor has the honor of illuminating the tree while Santa and polar bear look on.
Even Rudolph has it made in the shade! This sculpted reindeer — resplendent in his tropical shirt – makes a great photo op.
The main roads near Camana Bay Resort are adorned with these handsome holiday light pole decorations.
Drivers may not be dashing through the snow, but they can still feel the holiday spirit!
With its elegant silver ornaments and realistic-looking gold ribbon, this giant Christmas wreath sets an inviting holiday mood inside the resort’s lobby.
In a future post, we’ll take you step-by-step through the design, fabrication and installation process that went into our work at Camana Bay Resort. So stay tuned! As always, if you have any questions about this project or would like to discuss your own custom commercial Christmas display, please give us a call! (800) 658-1842
