In 2011, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino approached Studio 25 with a need for new holiday decor as part of an aggressive upscale renovation plan featuring nationally renowned designers, and they have been a full-service client ever since. The tailored design strategy fulfills the needs of both the resort and casino sites and is impressive and attractive without competing with the important visual features of the casino.
Harrah’s Cherokee Casino is a premier resort and casino destination in the Southeast. Following an upscale renovation that solidified their identity as a high-profile destination, they became one of the highest grossing casino floor in the country.
Harrah’s Cherokee Casino needed a dual-purpose holiday design plan for both their luxury resort and casino floor. The strategies for each of these needed to be cohesive but separately tailored to fulfill the different needs and limitations of the two sites. The hotel design needed to be upscale and impactful while also staying consistent with a recent high-end renovation the client had invested in, which completely reinvented the style of the casino and resort. The design plan for the casino floor differed, as the decor needed to be attractive and upscale yet not compete with the important visual aspects of the floor such as the colorful slot machines.
Studio 25 created a two-part design plan unique to Harrah’s Cherokee resort and casino. Having worked with several casinos prior, Studio 25 understood the need to complement the visual features of the revenue generating areas of the site, but not compete with them. Studio 25 also understood the importance of inconspicuous installation that would not disturb the ongoing activities of the casino floor or the resort’s guests.
Studio 25’s understanding of the casino industry and decor expertise allowed them to fulfill all of the client’s needs. The resulting holiday decor strategy perfectly complemented the client’s spaces without competing with their attractions and remained consistent within both the casino floor and luxury resort. The installation process was skillful and subtle, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino has become full-service client for Studio 25 since their original decor project.
